Unlocking in United States: common questions
Can I unlock a phone from United States?
Usually, yes — when the phone is paid off, not reported lost or stolen, and the original United States network allows it. We list 21 networks in United States; the planned manual assessment reviews your specific case.
Which United States network is my phone locked to?
It’s the network that originally sold or financed the phone — not necessarily the SIM you use now. Check your purchase receipt, the boot screen logo or the original box.
Will unlocking erase my data?
A carrier unlock by code or by the network’s own database normally doesn’t erase data. Always back up first anyway.
