Free IMEI check: find your phone’s brand and model.

Type your IMEI to validate its checksum and look for a possible device match in a public TAC list — in your browser. A TAC match does not reveal the phone’s individual manufacture date.

We recognise the brand and model from your IMEI, then you pick the original country and network.

Dial *#06# or open Settings → About to find it.

Your phone’s brand and model will appear here.

Your IMEI stays in this browser. Only the first 4 digits select a public catalog file; the rest of the IMEI stays in this browser.

IMEI questions

What is an IMEI number?

A 15-digit identifier unique to every mobile phone. The first 8 digits (the TAC) identify the manufacturer and model; the last digit is a checksum.

How do I find my IMEI?

Dial *#06# on the phone. You can also find it in Settings → About phone (Android) or Settings → General → About (iPhone), on the SIM tray, or on the box.

Does this check tell me if my phone is locked or blacklisted?

No. It validates the number and suggests the model. Lock and blacklist status need a manual review with the original network.

Is my IMEI sent anywhere?

No. The check runs in your browser. Only a small public list file, chosen by the first two digits, is downloaded.

Can an IMEI show the phone’s manufacture date?

No. This public TAC list can identify a manufacturer and possible model, but it does not contain an individual phone’s build date. We do not guess a date from the IMEI.
